Remembering: Joel Evans

We are shocked and devastated by the news of Joel’s passing. He was like no other - talented, humble, generous and gracious. He gave everyone his time and asked for little in return. To many in the moto community he was not only a competitor, but a mentor. Above all else he was a mate.

Our team at UNIT have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joel since the start of his Privateer to Pro program. Despite the struggles, ups and downs he stuck with his dream and built it, doing so with his customary grin that he was rarely seen without. His journey was just beginning, and with his fiancé Michaela by his side his life looked set for even more success both on and off the track.

It is with heavy hearts we offer our condolences to Joel’s family, friends, fellow competitors and the wider community that knew and followed him, including the many young and up and coming riders. This loss can’t be underestimated, and we hope you can lean on each other and the many happy memories of Joel in the tough times to come.

You will be sorely missed, mate. Rest in Peace #81.
